Handicap et réalité virtuelle : de la biomécanique à l'ingénierie d'assistance

Abstract : The aim of this paper is to present a project of an electric wheelchair simulator using virtual reality. For many disabled persons, the virtual reality may be very useful because it allows an optimal exploitation of remainding capacities thanks to an automatic adaptation to the evolution of progressions / regressions. A state-of-art of the applications of virtual reality to handicap and the first results obtained are presented.
