Using virtual reality for an autonomous navigation with electric wheelchairs
Abstract
The aim of this paper is to present a new autonomous navigation learning tools for disabled people. The main constraints are the material cost, the sense of presence, the human machine interaction and the study of a new promising clue which can be combined with classic decisional information. Apart from the usual systems in clinical and rehabilitation center, we used virtual reality as well as a platform wheelchair to assess the navigation learning and ability in a known virtual environment.
