La mise en scène des techniques dans les musées

Abstract : The exhibition of technology in the great muséums of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century was not without an ulterior motive. It pursued an ideological plan which aimed at affirming the growing power of engineers and their cartesian conception of technology. This occurred to the detriment of a social and critical approach, more sensitive and accessible, which could have concerned to a grater extent the people involved in the great adventure of the forced industrialization of the western world.
