Expériences sensibles en bibliothèque : peut-on parler d'un tournant ?

Abstract : Since the 1990s, libraries have undergone profound changes, in a context marked by digital development and the evolution of their audiences. In this context, new projects have emerged, in the movement of Learning Centres and third place libraries, they pay specific attention to spaces, with the aim of promoting comfort, living together and social links for users. At the same time, they express an interest in the sensory environment, the atmospheres, the experiences of the actors. How can we interpret the rise of these questions, specific to the new libraries that are developing today? Beyond the process of reinvention of the library, does this renewed approach to spaces help to rethink the sensitive forms of intellectual, cultural and social life within it? Can we talk about a (sensory) turn for libraries? This paper retains an entry "experience" to study these ongoing changes.
