Créativité Numérique en période conflit, le cas Vénézuélien

Résumé : Following the example of Arab Spring and its widespread uprisings (Egypt, Tunisia, etc.) but also other types of conflict (Kenya, India, Indonesia), we found that social networks could have an important role in terms of counter-power, whose strike force is primarily based on the power of words, the images and video streaming. Indeed, while social networks are often considered as key vectors in organizational communication, they are also extremely important as tools for public debate and as a key factor for participative democracy. In just a few years, social networks have become the stomping ground of protest. Our reflexion is illustrated by the socio-political events that have been recently taking place in Venezuela; they highlighted the importance of social networks in several fields: • As a field of free expression without pressure or censorship where all opinions can be represented and exchanged and in which the movements of opposition to the government have found a refuge where they can express themselves. • As a place for carrying out logistics and communication support for protests and other public actions. The use of social networks, including Twitter by opponents of the Venezuelan regime has been distinguished by a strong level of creativity including the component of satirical humor through drawings, photomontages, videos and caricatures representing common situations, members of the government or other “Pro-Maduro” actors. It should also specify that humor and derision are important elements of Venezuelan identity. The main purpose of this research is to show that the distribution of the images and cartoons by social networks, including humor and improvisations can be an important medium of social communication and can act as key factors for enhancing social and individual catharsis during political crisis.
