Survivances Cinéphiliques, Wim Wenders, Pina Bausch et Nicholas Ray

Abstract : When Pina Bausch left this world, Wim Wenders could have drop the project they had of shooting together. He finally decided to continue the shooting given the dancers and the compagny's motivation. Wenders and Pina had this project since a long time, therefore it would be ashamed to let death interfear with the completion of the movie. Since the movie and Pina Bausch's work couldn't coexsiste, at least, the dancers would leave the teather and dance in the middle of the street. In the past thrity years, Wenders already had to face the death of the main actor who was playing his own caracter. This actor is Nick's Film -Lightning Over Water (1980). In this fiction, Nicolas Ray is playing the main role but is actually dieying and Wenders in a way stages the death of the film-maker. In both movies, we can find strong resemblance in some scenes : for instance, in a private shooting, the main caracter appears in a shooing within a shoothing scene. The process is basically the same, beauty is appealing. Should'n we understand in this resemblance some kind of survival of movie lover that sends us back to the Nachleben notion called in this period by A. Warburg and revised by G. Didi-Huberman.
