The name Héloïse was adopted following the proposal of Daniel Charnay who was involved in the development of the information service as assistant director of the CCSD. His proposal was to stay faithful to a certain "tradition" of tragic love like, Héloïse thus refers to the true story of Heloise and Abelard ,
