Identité méditerranéenne: une question de chiffres et de sentiments

Abstract : The question of identity is prominent in our relationship with others and this is even more true that globalization blurs the benchmarks and potentially puts everyone on the planet in contact with all others. This question is part of the movement of territorial intelligence. The article aims to show how the sense of Mediterranean identity can be explained by the multiple viewpoints that territorial intelligence advocates. The introduction explains the movement of territorial intelligence, its origin, its key concepts and current developments. The rationale will consider Our Mediterranean Sea (Mare Nostrum) in terms of territorial intelligence, the challenge of the Union for the Mediterranean as a basis for demonstrating the dialectic of "top down" vs. "bottom up". A case study will provide an example of the complementary figures and feelings. In conclusion, we propose the intelligence to be put at the service of a territory: future, past, present.... showing the importance of participatory democracy and the role of information.
